A march of thousands of Mohamed Morsi supporters which was
bound for the Military Intelligence headquarters appears now to have
turned back towards the Nasr City sit-in, reports Al Jazeera's team in
Cairo.

Ahmed Ali, a spokesman for the Egyptian armed forces has
issued a statement in light of reports that protesters are planning on
gathering in front of the headquarters of Egypt's Military Intelligence.
The statement goes as follows:
..................The statement goes as follows:
The Armed Forces calls on protesters to stay away from military installations in general and the Military Intelligence headquarters building in particular, since that is a vital and protected installation. Therefore any person who gets too close or tries to engage with the military personnel protecting it exposes themselves to danger, in accordance with the law.
"Citizens' right to peaceful protest is guaranteed by the law, but any violation of the parameters of peaceful protest is considered as breaking the law and risks citizens' lives.
"This warning by the Armed Forces to citizens to stay away from military installations is not a threat, it comes as part of a process aimed at protecting the nation and it's people."
